Bio: Dr. Janet Pritchard was a post-doctoral fellow at the Geras Centre for Aging Research and was funded through the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation. Dr. Pritchard is a clinical scientist with a specialization in osteoporosis and diabetes (McMaster University – PhD Medical Sciences – Physiology and Pharmacology). At the Geras Centre for Aging Research, Dr. Pritchard led a program of research evaluating a wide-spread standardized clinical decision support system reflecting the current guidelines for osteoporosis care and fracture prevention. In recognition of academic excellence and leadership, Dr. Pritchard has received several awards, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Doctoral Fellowship, Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and Mary Keyes Award. Dr. Pritchard is now an Assistant Professor in Interdisciplinary Science and Kinesiology at McMaster University.
