Bio: Dr. Afeez Hazzan was a post-doctoral fellow at the Geras Centre for Aging Research within the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. Dr. Hazzan is a research health methodologist (McMaster University – PhD Health Research Methodology). At the Geras Centre for Aging Research, Dr. Hazzan led the Artful Moments research initiative that uses art therapy for older adults with dementia to enhance communication, quality of life, and strengthen caregiver relationships. Dr. Hazzan is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Healthcare Studies at the State University of New York. ​
