- Project Manager/Long-Term Care Nursing Consultant, Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy for Long-Term Care
Mary-Lou has been committed to improving fracture prevention and osteoporosis care in long-term care through the Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy for Long-Term care since January 2008 supporting the education, research, and knowledge dissemination. She is an assistant clinical professor with the School of Nursing at McMaster University. She has Bachelors and Masters degree in Nursing from Western University and a Master of Business Degree from Athabasca University. Mary-Lou has dedicated her 30+ year nursing career to care of the older adults across the health care sector from long term care, community, home care, primary care and acute in various roles including geriatric nurse practitioner, and in long-term care as an administrator, educator, knowledge specialist and consultant. Mary-Lou also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, traveling and sailing.
