Tricia Woo completed medical school at the University of Toronto and postgraduate training at McMaster. She is currently an Associate Professor and Geriatrician for McMaster University at St. Peter’s Hospital. Tricia has a keen interest in inter professional education and increasing the profile of Geriatric medicine to medical students in Canada. In 2005 she was awarded the AFP Internal Career Award for Clinician Educators. In 2008, she received the award for outstanding clerkship preceptor for the undergraduate MD class. In 2011 she was awarded the McMaster Internal Medicine Selective Teacher Award. Tricia is faculty advisor to the McMaster and National geriatric student interest groups. In 2012 she was awarded the Canadian Geriatric Society Physician Innovator in Education Award. She is the awardee of the 2014 Department of Medicine Undergraduate Teaching Award.
